Pedro N. Teixeira is the Secretary of State for Higher Education in the Portuguese Government. He is Professor in Economics at the Faculty of Economics (University of Porto) and Director of CIPES (Centre of Research on Higher Education Policy)

Pedro N. Teixeira is the Secretary of State for Higher Education in the Portuguese Government. He is Professor in Economics at the Faculty of Economics (University of Porto) and Director of CIPES (Centre of Research on Higher Education Policy). Between June 2014 and June 2018 he was also Vice Rector at the University of Porto, being responsible for the area of Academic Affairs/Teaching and Learning. Since April 2016 he has been Special Advisor to the President of Portugal on Higher Education and Science issues.
