CGHE Co-Investigator presents keynote at Peking University education forum
Ka Ho Mok provides keynote speech at Yidan Education Forum 2020 at Peking University
Ka Ho Mok, a Co-Investigator on CGHE’s global higher education engagement research programme, was invited by Yidan Foundation and Graduate School of Education, Peking University, as a keynote speaker for the Yidan Education Forum, held at the Stanford Center, Peking University, from 3-4 January 2020.
The Education Forum centered on the vital theme of Liberal Education: An Intercultural Dialogue between China and the West, which attracted over 100 speakers and participants from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Japan and the USA.
Professor Mok gave a keynote speech entitled “Questing for Sustainable Development in Higher Education: The Role of Liberal Arts Education”.
After his presentation, Professor Mok also chaired a panel discussion on the theme of “Global Perspectives in Liberal Education”, where speakers from Japan, China and the USA exchanged their views on liberal education from historical and international perspectives.
Yidan Education Forum provides a platform for scholars, education practitioners and postgraduate students to share their recent research findings of respective themes.
Leading researchers in higher education from Peking University, Tsinghua University, Beijing Normal University, the University of Hong Kong, Lingnan University, University of Wisconsin-Madison, Hiroshima University and liberal arts institutions from Japan and the USA were well represented at the forum.
