The growth in tertiary education has upskilled working-age population worldwide; however, uncertainties in skill demand due to factors like digital transformation, stalling productivity, and geopolitical developments raise concerns about graduates’ ability to utilize their skills in the labour market. Socio-structural inequalities further challenge the assumption that all tertiary graduates will secure high-skill careers. This workshop brings together international expertise to analyse mechanism and compare trends in graduate labour market inequality and the potential implication for the sector.
